Booking and cancellation rules

  • You can book your accommodation by phone or email.
  • The reservation can be confirmed by email. The accommodation can be booked after the transfer of 20% of the accommodation fee. In the high season and in special periods, after confirming the reservation, to transfer 20% of the deposit you can choose the suitable account number as per:

  • In case of cancellation, a compensation fee will be charged, the amount of which is as follows depending on the date:
    20% of the accommodation fee before 2 pm on the day before arrival, 100% of the accommodation fee after 2 pm on the day before arrival.

Arrival, payment, departure

  • Upon arrival, the guest need to hand over his personal documents (passport or identity card) for registration in the booking system.
  • The guest shall pay the prices of the services (accommodation, tourist tax called IFA) in advance upon arrival.
  • IFA = 590 HUF / person / night –> this TAX is payed to Hajduszoboszlo Town Hall Center.
  • During registration, guests will receive the remote controllers of air conditioner and TV and the room key, which requires the accurate filling out of a registration form.
  • When leaving, please leave the room key with the host! (In case of lossing the keys and remote controls, guests are obliged to report this immediately and reimburse the price to the accommodation provider.)
  • The rooms are available from 4 PM on the day of arrival, please leave the room by 10AM. on the day of departure. (Of course, if the room cleaning is ready earlier than 4PM, then the rooms can be occupied earlier)
  • You can pay at Zen House with cash. We are too small business for card payment :( apologies for any inconvenience.

Breakfast

8% of annual greenhouse gas emissions comes from food loss and waste. Our mission is to drive change in the global food waste issue. We try to prepare breakfast as environmentally conscious as possible. Following the ZEROWASTE trend is our daily goal. We strive to ensure that as little food as possible ends up in the bin, but in such a way that our guests never have lack of fresh and quality food at the breakfast table.

We have created 3 types of menus:

  • A) carnivore menu – cold meats (2 ham, 4 winter salami), raw vegetables, 2 buns/kiflis, 2 slices of cheese
  • B) egg menu – hot dogs/ham with scrambled eggs (2 eggs), raw vegetables, 2 buns/kiflis
  • C) sweet tooth menu – 2 pastries (cocoa snail/croissant/braided cake)

We offer coffee made from freshly ground coffee beans upon request.

The following permanent foods can be found on the buffet every morning: milk (pasteurized farmer’s cow’s milk), fiber, filtered water, teas (fruit, herbal, black), dairy products (yoghurt), fresh fruits (banana, apple, lemon, in melon season: Greek- or melon/grapes), muesli (oatmeal, chocolate ball muesli), dried fruit, jams, mustard, ketchup, lemon juice, white/brown bread (toast), white and brown sugars, sweeteners, olives, biscuits, light sweet baked goods, butter.

Food waste is an industry challenge in hospitality sectors – including Zen House – and reducing it is not only good for nature. We take all your comments and opinions seriously in order to provide the best and greenest service.

Habits and expectations in the Zen House area

  • Only guests registered by the host on NAK system can stay in the apartment building.
  • It is forbidden to let strangers in!
  • Pets are not allowed in the ZEN HOUSE or in the guest rooms!
  • Guests over 18 staying at ZEN HOUSE are required to pay tourist tax, which is HUF 590/person/night at the local rate. The room prices do not include the tourist tax!
  • We ask our dear guests not to disturb the rest of the other guests by making noise. Pay particular attention to each other’s silence after 10 p.m. – see ZEN
  • HOUSE silence policy below.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in ZEN HOUSE! You can only smoke in the designated outdoor areas.
  • In order to avoid fires, do not store flammable and explosive materials in your room. Use open flames (candles, incense) in the rooms only with due caution, as the rooms are equipped with smoke detectors.
  • The equipment in the rooms can only be rearranged with the consent of the host!
  • We ask our guests to notify the host (0036 30 6919780) of any malfunctions experienced in the room immediately. Damage caused by carelessness or on purpose will be reimbursed by the apartment house!
  • Neither the employee of the apartment building nor the owner assumes responsibility for valuables left at the accommodations!
  • We ask our guests, before leaving their room, to make sure that the water taps are not left open, the electric heating + lights are not on, the TV is turned off and the air conditioner is not operated with the window open!

Zen House silence policy

  • For the convenience of all guests, Zen House has a “Quiet Time” rule between 10PM and 7AM. We ask our guests to be respectful of their neighbours and not to gather in places or public areas where noise may disturb others.
  • The number of guests allowed in a double room is 2 people, and 1 person in a single room. If the occupancy of the room is exceeded, a fee of HUF 10.000 per person must be paid and private individuals may be asked to leave by the host.
  • It is forbidden to organize parties in the guest rooms. Otherwise, the host is forced to call the authorities/police and evict the residents from the Zen House.
  • Children under the age of 16 must always be supervised by an adult.
  • Any noise complaint that disturbs the tranquility of other guests will result in compensation being charged to the room whose noise is causing the discomfort and the complaint(s).
  • While we attempt to provide at least one warning prior to eviction and/or calling the police, this policy may be enforced without warning to protect other Zen House guests.
  • Upon eviction, all accommodation fees and deposits are forfeited.
  • The Zen House silence policy comes into effect when the room is occupied, which the guest accepts with a signed statement.

Complaint

All complaints will only be taken into account, if they are reported during your stay here. Any suggestion is taken for granted. There is no good or bad suggestion.
